Holding it all the time may just introduce additional stress - especially for a shy, nervous animal such as the dwarf caimans. You can't expect to "tame" these animals. Some are naturally more people-tolerant than others but for the most part, they are what they are.

:I recently acquired a month and a half old smooth front caiman. I spend as much time as I can holding him/her in an attempt to befriend the tiny beast. Iw as just wondering what you all do in trying to tame your pets. Is holding them enough? What else should I do/try to do in an attempt to make the process easier on us both? Any info is appreciated... Thank you
