In Reply to: Dwarf Caiman Housing Question.............. posted by Blecha on April 20, 2003 at 23:04:20:
:I was curious about how long, or better yet, until what size I could keep a dwarf caiman (Paleosuchus palpebrosus) in a 40 gallon breeder aquarium measuring approximately 36"x18"X12" before I had to make something bigger. And also if I were to have two, how long would a cage that size work? Any input would be greatly accepted.
:Thanks,

Adult dwarf caimans can be comfortably housed in a 10ft x 10fht enclosure(even though they're the smallest crocodilian they're still big powerful animals when adult!)
