Well, Steak is not exactly the best thing for it to eat. Should really replace the steak with something like pinkies/fuzzies, beef liver, or chicks. Crickets are fine as long as they are dusted with some sort of vitamin supplement like Miner-All or Herptivite exspecially if it is a juvenile. What were the temps like? Digestion begins to really take place at about 85 degrees fahrenheit and although crocodilians have one of the most acidic stomachs of any animal the food could still begin to "decompose" in the body causing bacteria to grow,etc.
