Thanks for the info. I'm glad that people love these animals enough to tell people the facts about keeping them. I'm aware that they are wild animals, and large ones at that. I'm planning on getting a job at a pet store (I would love to volunteer at a zoo, but the nearest one is 70 miles away). The main reason I want to work at a pet store (until I graduate from college) is to tell people the truth about reptile care. Many stores only care about making a profit, or really don't know how to take care of their animals. But I do agree with you, never buy ANY kind of animal until you have throughly researched it and can make sure you can properly care for it.
