:I found a snake last summer that was very interesting to me. I'd done a bit of studying about Garter snakes that are indigenous to my Northeastern Ohio are but I could not find a description for this particular snake. I sent a photo to the Ohio Division of Wildlife asking for some help but they never responded.
:I don't have the picture handy now but if you go to the link below, there is a picture of a couple of Garter Snakes that I took last year. I'm curious about the two bottom ones with the red on it. What is its name? IS it indigenous to Northeast Ohio (Cleveland area)?

They are Eastern garters with nice red petterning.I have seen a lot of them like this in Lucas and Ottowa counties east of Toledo.
