I have been freezing some of the little "crappie minnows" that I buy for my garters since when I buy a dozen they always give me at least twice that many. I have been reading on this forum that some of the species of potential food fish should probably not be frozen. What are your thoughts? I am lucky to have a nearby store that I can get a dozen for less than a buck. Last summer I paid my 75 cents and I swear they scooped me out 60 minnows! I froze most of the last batch a week or so ago, and just got done feeding the ones that I kept alive. Should I thaw some out or keep going for fresh, live ones? My garters are still pretty tiny and just recently switched over to whole minnows after eating little chunks of minnows and bluegills all winter. Thanks. Duffy
