I've found checkered garters from here west to south central NM and they all have looked pretty much the same. Today I found an extremely light colored one with reduced black blotches and a light tan color. Here are some pics....let me know what you think:

compared to the usual checkered garters here in San Antonio:


These were found in the same "field" as well.
