Melanistic shedding too frequently

I have an otherwise healthy 18 month old melanistic male who is now bluing in advance of his second shed in the past 4 weeks. He eats very well, did not brumate this winter, has been alert and active. He was successfully treated for reptile mites in mid-November with Black Knight spray - no recurrence of mites.

His sheds have all been complete with no difficulties - should I be concerned about the frequency?

Thanks,

Nic
