Update on wild garter snake...

So I still can't tell if he is eating or not. After a cage cleaning, I found a large number of worms still there, so I don't think he is eating those.
Any ideas what else he might eat?

Also, I've been trying to keep handling at a minimum, but when I picked him up, I noticed the misplaced scales I saw earlier are actually scabs. I'm not sure what to think about this. I took out all the crickets from the tank days ago, and he had the scabs when I first got him. Not sure where he got them.


Also, I have a new addition. One of the lunch ladies at my school found a SECOND garter snake. I placed him along with the first one.
My guess is they've been hiding in the cafeteria building for some time and they're just starting to get hungry enough to risk moving out in the open...
