:I would agree with the below post but forgo the garter idea since they do not handle well, and since he would want to pick it up once a week, a garter may poop or scent him. Actually not many snake do for a child but you can get a corn snake if you do the research on its care.
Thanks so much for your help. My husband said a corn snake would be best, but I kept holding out for a ribbon. I will tell him he was right. Thanks again to all!
