Feeding pinkies...

Hi there! I've recently managed to get my 2 1/2 foot long red-sided garter to eat thawed pinkies. I'm wondering how many a week should be fed to her? I've heard that garters get more energy from warm-blooded prey than they do cold blooded, fish for example. Does this mean she'd need less food overall? Thanks for any advice!
