First, I can't get his head through that hole, he watches and freaks out.. I don't like holding his head and making him go, he's never bitten me yet and I don't intend to get him started on the habit...

Second, when I can get his entire body in there his head is up and out before I can stop him (and I'm not one for slow reflexes)..

I've discovered a pillow case works much better for holding him while I clean his cage and such anyway...
