:I noticed my american toad will take food from my hand. it seems like he isn't that great at catching crix/worms by himself, not sure why, but I think he had a calcium defecit in the past. He was owned by a friend's daughter who really didn't know about vitamin/calcium supplements, and inevitably got sick of owning him so I took him in. Finally, in the past few days i got him to take a large nightcrawler; usually he just aimed in the general direction of the cricket and missed, has terrible aim. I'm sure that if I let him go, he would be done.


I'm glad he's doing better. They're wonderful creatures.
