I agree-I still cannot get over how a handraised one can be sooo skittish, mistrusting, and afraid of me and will not under any circustances take food from me...yet the one from the wild so readily takes food from me and seem to enjoy attention. friendly. So *something* is inborn apart from environmental factors. but I love my bullfrogs a *lot*.

:Yes, bullfrogs do eahc have their own "froginalities." My big male is very skittish, hides when his tank is approached, yet if i am Very patient, I can get him to handfeed. Crickets only, though; he avoided taking both worms and fish out of my hand, but catches these on his own. I have seen completely ild female bullfrogs that will just sit floating in the water and let you pick them right up from the side of a boat, and then some captive ones which were terrified of people. Kinda weird.
