I found that raising the temp usually makes them come out of brumation, either that or moistening the substrate they're in. One of my horned frogs comes out nightly like clockwork, but my cranwelli will only come out if I "water" him, though he has been out more now that the days are getting longer and there's more sun in the room. I know that they sometimes burrow to escape dry conditions, but they will get a thicker, moisture-retaining skin when doing this.
