Frogs do hear, though some species are only "wired" to pick up sounds in their own vocal range. When I play certain deep, bass-ey songs, my bullfrog will actually start croaking along. Also in the wild, green frogs sound a warning cry to other frogs if they're startled; sounds like a "bonk" sound.
