I just saw Edmond (Gulf coast toad) sitting with his back to me, in his water dish, & I noticed he looked asymmetrical - he seems to only have a poison gland on the left side of his head! I looked through old photos & it seems he's always lacked it, but I've just not noticed before. He's never had any sort of external wounds since I've had him, & it doesn't look like there is scar tissue. Here are photos I've just taken this minute. Has anyone seen this before?

&, how does he look? I try to keep him healthy/happy. I feel bad for not having noticed, but he spends most of his time nestled under his plants & logs, & I just don't handle him except for occasional photos - so he doesn't get examined often. & by the way - do you guys reckon Edmond is a female? I've never heard calling, this year or last..

Thanks!
-Kim
