In Reply to: Whats the BEST set-up? (Divider, gravel and water, etc,) n/p posted by rc_racer_007 on April 26, 2003 at 20:16:13:
plexiglass dividers are better imo. false bottom setups are too messy. yes they can leak but so what. doesn't happen that often if setup properly the first time. firebellies only need about three inches of water. get the divider about 6 in tall, about 1/8" shorter than width of tank and glue it in at an angel so frog can climb in/out easier. run a bead of silicone on both sides of divider and test it for leaks before adding everything by letting water sit for a day. some pinhole leaks take awhile to show up. get some driftwood/pothos/some groundcover plants/cork bark to hide under/behind. pothos will grow in the water along shoreline. a shale/sandstone pile in the water for frog to hide in too.
