We are switching the tank over tonight. Our biggest (Stretch) is out of the water now and only has about 1/2 inch of the tail left. He/she hasn't climbed up on the land yet though, seems to like it inside the tree trunk where he/she can sit just out of the water and not be seen. I wish it would come up on land so I could get a good look at it and watch it hop. All in due time I guess eh?
:That's a great idea. Years back, I had a small american toad in a ten gallon tank with gravel. He ended up swallowing a piece during feeding, and it got impacted, and he died an obviously painful death. I was distrought, but it taught me a lesson I can never forget.
