I found that small baby earthworms/nightcrawlers make a good food for them. you can cut into pieces a large worm (if you're not squeamish), leave the smaller half out for awhile til it dies, and feed it to the toad. My fbts love worms, never tried bloodworms though. should be ok if used in moderation; I still use crix as a main food for them. also i feed them prekilled guppies once in a great while for variety.
