Soft Water

Our house now have soft water, but there are two taps outside that let out regular water, and I fill up the tank with the hard water from outside, treated with dechloranator, and let it sit for 24 hrs before using it for my FBT's. Is it ok if I use the soft water for my FBT's? Is it dangerouse for my pet, especially my FBT's, since it has higher level of sodium?
