?Feeding Leo tads

Ok, here's another question. I have a lot of plants in with my leo tads and I have noticed them nibbling on them. When we got the tads we were also given shrip pellets to feed them. Now since tads are veggie eaters should I feed them the pellets also? Or is there something else that I should feed them?
