If you can find a pesticide-free area to catch food from, that's great. My toads, frogs and fish love eating the grubs, worms, grasshoppers (by the hundred) that we catch for them. we get them right outside the house because we live on a farm that only grows animal feed, nothing for human consumption and thus no pesticides. Going to a large public/state park to catch bugs could be an option. Digging in a square yard of soil, about 1-2 feet down, usually yields us two dozen nightcrawlers if you dont mind the effort.
