My firebellies love the moths I catch for them from my porchlight. Sometimes I'll feed my bullfrogs those big, black crickets that I find under the patio bricks on the side of our house but nothing else "wild caught." The grasshoppers in the field nearby can get pretty big but their exoskeletons are too hard and tough for a frog or toad to make it a worthwhile food source. Anything "wild caught" has the potential to host parasites... even insects. My CalKing gets only domestic mice as wild mice or snakes can carry a heavy parasite load.
