put the divider in at an angle so it is easier for the frog. then have the log along shoreline for the frog to get in/out easy. or glue some river rock to the divider for places for frog to grab onto. and the water still needs to be changed at least every other day anyway. doesn't take alot of time at all with a wet-vac. you really only need about 3-4" of water when the tads become frogs. only a gallon or two of water for that. home depot doesn't have leaf litter. they have compost and they have bark mulch but you don't want mulch. you want nuggets. they might have those. and cedar is not good.
