water does need to be changed daily. filters do not rid it of waste matter, they merely trap it. but it can sitll grow bacteria and this will be in your frogs' envorinment, and frogs are sensitive to it. i use a half-tank-wide water tray for my fbts; they do trail the bedabeast into the water, but since everyones water gets changed daily, it is no matter.
