In Reply to: problem with substrate and crickets... posted by louiec on April 22, 2003 at 09:30:17:

:Repti bark is what I use for substrate and I find that the pieces of bark are to big and some of the crickets go and dig under... as a result when I put the frillies to sleep (lol) all the crickets that hid in the substrate pop up... sometimes I catch a few crawling on the frillies and I immediatley take them off... (dont want them doin any damage to my frillies).
:does anyone have any suggestions?
:btw the crickets I use are small cuz my frillies are small so clipping the legs are not possible yet...
:should I just try to use soil substrate and pack it down?
