Screen or glass just depends--if you want higher humidity use glass. If you use screen, you can get coated screen to protect against nose rub.
Brumation--a dormancy period. You can simulate it by lowering temps, light cycle, and humidity. Brumation is sometimes needed to stimulate breeding behavior.
