I live in an appartment too and I have far too many reptiles for it but what I did is spend a little more time designing and of course a decent amount more money but on my larger cages I build shelfs and storage compartmants that way you can make up for some of the space you lost I got a little out of control though and a longer have a dining or coffe table and extra bedroom is pretty much gone
