acually no they dont "hibernate" but they do "brumate". in the wild they have a wet season and a dry season. during the dry season they go to the top of the trees and just kind of chill. they dont bask or eat much of anything. in fact, i have mine doning that now so that i may breed them when they come out of it. they havent eaten for quite a while and they dont loose any weight 'cause they pretty much slow their motabolisms down. even though you may be trying to replicate the wet season somtimes they just know. you may want to take a poop sample to the vet just in case they picked up parasites along the way though.
