Hi.....
I don't think the problem is at all to do with genetics or anything similar....
If I can get a picture today or tomorrow I will take a photo of my
last two remaining babies.... One lot hatched in December and the next lot five weeks later...... They have the same parents.....
The difference..I kept the big guy and fed him well every day.... The other smaller guy is from the younger batch so the size difference should not be that big.... (I have kept tabs on ALL the babies) I let him go too early (in my opinion) and I just think he did not get what he was used to.....Since I took him back he has grown a whole lot....but you will see from the pictures(that I will post as soon as I can get them both together without Goliath loooking at Shrimp like lunch), that he's not right (although healthy) he's still very small and I think that's to do with how he was fed and the size of his enclosure.
Both of these babies eat from bowls.....They sit and wait for the stuff to crawl over the sides.....and Waxworms and mealies are just taken straight from the bowl as a bedtime snack...
Give it a try maybe... a bigger cage and a bowl....space to get away from the heat and doze.....
