:::moist peatmoss should work. a lot of breeders use cat litter pans filled with moist substrate (sand, soil, peat, ...)
:::I have found (after giving my guys options) that mine prefer just a big pile of moist substrate in one of the corners of the cage--they dig into it and make their own little cave to deposit the eggs.
