:moist peatmoss should work. a lot of breeders use cat litter pans filled with moist substrate (sand, soil, peat, ...)
:I have found (after giving my guys options) that mine prefer just a big pile of moist substrate in one of the corners of the cage--they dig into it and make their own little cave to deposit the eggs.
:7 more laid yesterday!!!
::I'm wondering what kind of nestbox you breeders are using.
::I mean how big/deep and with what kind of substrate.
::Will moist peatmoss do the job?
Have you found that your frills like to dig in from the side of a hill to bury there eggs or do they dig straight down?
