I read a few of the past posts on sexing but I am still having a hard time. I just got my first frilled 3 weeks ago so I have nothing to compare to. If it were an iguana or a beardie I would say definatly female. it is 2 yrs old and a little emaciated because it has pinworms. It weighed 138 g when I got it and is now a nice 151 g but still has a way to go before those hips fill out totally. There is no hemipenile bulge that obviously pops out but if you stare at it long enough you think....is that a bulge?? The femoral pores are insignificant. All this ppoints to a female but with the less than healthy history one might just think that its features are stunted. I have a male iguana that looks for all the world like a female cause he had a poor upbringing--until you see his hemipenile bulges and I have also seen beardies who grew up with a very dominant male have only a scarce trace of a bulge making it really hard to tell.
I took my frilled to the vet to be probed and that was little help...he says his instincts also say female but the probe went in about 1 cm on each side and did not go in much in the center suggesting two pockets.
Any insights would be appreciated!
