I don't know what kind of disaster you ran into with your beardies, but frilleds mainly eat bugs, so there is even less options than beardies. I would plan on any size frilled eating at least 5-15 crickets a day. I would never buy crickets from a pet store because your paying way to much. First you need to invest in a good cage for your animals, Then buy a 20-30 gallon tall tub for a few buck at KMART and make a screen top and order crickets by the 1000. Keep the container on top of your cage to keep them warm, buy some food to feed them and give them lettuce, baby carrots, patatoes, etc for food and water. You can also use a plastic dish with a wet sponge. Anyways 1000 crickets wouls allow you to feed up to 30 a day for a month for about $15 for one frilled. As they get older you can feed the superworms, pinkies, waxworm, roaches. Only buy what you can afford to take care of.
: hello all, i have been checking out frilled dragons for a while now and doing some research, but one thing i can not find, as with my beardies, is how MANY crickets they should eat. If possible I would like to know at how many for hatchling, 4-7", 7-10", 10-17", and Full grown Everywhere I look it says 3 Times or whatever... i want to know how many they eat, since I fell into a disaster with my 3 beardies that i didnt know ate like there is no tomorrow. If you cant give me each age, i would appreciate what you could tell me, thanks .... brian
