there are several other genera of small, tan black headed/capped colubrids, several of which also eat centipedes I believe...

genus Unechis - Australia
genus Pseudocyclophis - Middle east and central Asia
genus Rhynchocalamus - Middle East/Africa
genus Eirenis - Middle East
genus Apparalactus - Southern Africa - some members of this genus have a pattern just like a Tantilla and are centipede specialists as well

Correlation? Who knows! It has always been interesting to me that there are so many "tan with black headed" burrowing snakes in arid regions of the world.
