O'yeah, I completely forgot about the heat thing. Black does heat up faster, but it also dissipates heat faster. Your theory is sound. About the heat black thing, a possible good example of black/white and heat is the Desert Iguana. In the morning they are generally grayish, but later in the day and hot, turn very white. Black = heat up quick; white = dissipate heat slow.
