Kentucky herping advice?

I'm taking a camping trip in June-July to The canal campground On Lake Barkley. I'll be spending most of my time in The Land Between The Lakes area. Does anyone have any suggestions about where to look for some good herps? I'm reletively new to this and know next to nothing so any advice would be appreciated.
