Herping in Shaver Lake CA

I will be going herping in Shaver Lake area on the 5th of April.Any tips on where to look?Any ideas on what snakes will be out?I am interested in kings and gophers mainly,but I have heard that rubber boas should be out.Any insight would be great.Thanks,Ryan P.S. I am 15
