Your not gonna find any Banded Geckos in the D/FW area. As far as San Antonio, I think you will only find them South and/or South West of San Antonio. If you decide to go S or SW, look for rocky areas and under tin (this time of year), Boards, Trash, etc. There are lots of other good herps to find in D/FW and San Antonio as well. All depends on what you want to find. Best bet for most stuff is just find a rural location and find some things to flip (to look under). I grew up in the D/FW area and always loved finding Speckled Kings and Milk Snakes out near Cedar Hill. Now I live near San Antonio. I found the above pictured Banded Gecko South of San Antonio last year. They're not uncommon. Good luck..JP
