4 ft is unlikely...but it could be a coral...some people misjudge size grossly when they are in a panic or scared. What else would it be? It is just as unlikely that a scarlet king or scarlet snake hit 4 ft as far as I can see (then again, I do not have a ton of exp. with Floridian species that do not occur in Texas as well). Andy
