I don't generally collect. Indigos are protected so I would never try to collect one. My friend in the Ocala area found a 5 footer last July in his yard and was going to keep it for me. He had it in a cage but I told him to let it go. He did not know the laws for collecting. I would not risk trying to keep something like that. I dont theink the risk is worth the penalty. If I wanted one that badly I would buy one.
