The sun came out & it was really nice this afternoon outside. I saw 7 green anoles, 1 ground skink, 1 slimy salamander, & one juvenile eastern diamondback. The diamondback was in a clearing near a clump of palmetto. He was soaking up some rays. Eyes were cloudy. Almost stepped on him. He never moved, but his tongue was in action smelling the air. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera. I had my snake hook & tongs, & it was tempting to pick him up. I left him alone & didn't bother him. It was a nice find.
