neuse river north carolina

I read an earlier post stating that the neuse river is a good area for snakes. Does anyone know what turtles are in that area?I read on the north carolina web site that loggerhead sea turtles are in that area.I am going to buy the N.C herps book suggested in the earlier post, but was looking for first hand accounts of turtles in the area.
