:

I live about an hour north of SF and know of many locations for salamanders. I would get a good map of Sonoma County and Mendocino county before I talk to you, then you will know what I am talking about.
I would not say the central CA part is void of salamander life, ensatinas, ambystoma califoriense, aneides lugubris Dicamptodons live in these ranges.
Give me an e-mail at norcalbum@hotmail.com and I would be happy to help you out.

i will be going to cali for spring break, i am looking for salmanders and would like some pointers from those who have had good luck. i will be in all areas of the state except the middle (which is pretty much a dead zone for sals) i'm looking for collection locations that are not in parks or national monuments & am interested in practically everything but slenders.

:thanks
