Pretty much the same method I used. Not sure if the little containers I used were embroidery boxes. Look kind of like bead boxes, I got them from AC Moores for a buck a piece. Each one has 17 seperate compartments. I drilled 4 tiny holes in EACH compartment (thats 68 tiny holes in each container). Filled the holes with supers and it worked! It ONLY worked though once I put them on top of a heating pad running on low and under a cabinet (for darkness). When I had them under the cabinet with no heat source they wouldnt pupate. Probably because my house is too cold! I have had beetles for over 3 weeks now. Still waiting to see tiny supers! :( How long do I have to wait to see the babies? Thanks, Lindsay Goodluck everyone!
I took this pic when I caught a pair in the act. You have to look carefully at their back ends in order to see their reproductive organs touching. Hopefully babies will be here soon! :) Wish me luck.
