if you are planning to raise feeders to adult you can leave them all together until they are sexually mature unless the males start to fight. When they start fighting you will need to separate them or feed them off. When they start fighting you will find that they try to castrate one another.

The last batch I raised to adult I separated males from the females as soon as I took them off of the moms. I kept the males together in a very large tub so that they weren't crouded and they did ok. You just have to gage it by how the mice behave. I do separate the males from the females to prevent breeding. I think that maybe because there are no females in the tub they didn't have anything to fight over. I do know that they will fight if left together too long.
