Rats Chewing

I realize that I have made a mistake. I build a rat breeding rack with surplus tubs and can not find same sized replacments. A few tubs have small holes in them now from rats chewing. Is there any tricks to get them to stop? I am sure my nieghbors don't want rats in their house.
