:yea, they died off one by one.. oh well.... how much floor space would i need for a 1.3 breeding group? and can i keep the male in there all the time? ive heard the cannibalize all the time.. probly depends on that individual mouse.. an thoughts? dave

I have 1.6 in tubs LXWXH....24X12X12
When I have cannabalizing it is often a first time mom or one moved when pregnant. If the dad is the dad of the litter there is little worry of cannabalizing. The other time is if one mom has a litter and another, more dominant mom is due any day....sometimes the mom that is still pregnant kills off a litter just before delivering her own. Second time around they often work it out and no one eats anyone. I have moms right now that I can shuffle babies around with. In one tub I lost the dad and the only way to get another male in there was to give them an eyes just opened crawler boy that they still treated as a baby, instead of as a 'male'invader. Also, just letting them raise up their own male pup works. Mice are funny.
