hello, i bought a pregnant female rat at a pet store. she had babies, then i bought a male rat so that they could breed and make more babies.for a while he was fine with the babies, he even helped take care of them. then i put the female on a vitamin supplement that smells kinda like orange juice.i guess the male really liked the smell and attacked her. she was too big,too strong,and squelled when he touched her. so he went after the babies,chewing the heads off them:(

anyone have a clue as to why he did this? please post.
